Committee

Many organisations, businesses, Government departments have committees and Thornbury in Bloom is no exception. We are very fortunate in having many individuals who are prepared to give some of their spare time in the pursuit of making Thornbury a place that will attract visitors but perhaps more importantly of making the town a pleasing place to live in.

At present we have approx 14 members headed by our new Chairman, Sue Aitken who has recently taken over from Robert Gorham, the out going Chairman. Robert now becomes the Vice Chairman. We also have a Treasurer, Secretary and Minutes Secretary plus other members who carry out all manner of tasks essential to the smooth running of Thornbury in Bloom.

We are not complacent and realise that we need to attract some younger members to the committee, you do not need to be an expert in gardening, flower arranging or the like: all that is needed is a little time, some enthusiasm and maybe the ability to do things and to persuade others to do things which hopefully will benefit all.

If you fit the bill you can contact any of the committee members through the Town Hall.
