Our Team
Many organisations, businesses, Government departments have committees but in Thornbury in Bloom we like to think of ourselves as a team. We are very fortunate in having many individuals who are prepared to give some of their spare time in the pursuit of making Thornbury a place that will attract visitors but perhaps more importantly of making the town a pleasing place to live in.
At present we have approx 14 members headed by our Chairman, Sue Aitken. We have a vice Chairman Joan Tuck and we also have a Treasurer, Secretary and Minutes Secretary plus other members who carry out all manner of tasks essential to the smooth running of Thornbury in Bloom.
We are not complacent and realise that we need to attract some younger members to the committee, you do not need to be an expert in gardening, flower arranging or the like: all that is needed is a little time, some enthusiasm and maybe the ability to do things and to persuade others to do things which hopefully will benefit all.
